The Google Doodle mark a logo transformed into the Moon. Google also put the live webcast of the Lunar eclipse on its official page.To mark the longest and the darkest lunar eclipse of the century Google has put an animated & interactive Google Logo on the front page.

Astronomers said it would be one of the two longest total lunar eclipses of the century. A total of 85 total lunar eclipses are expected this century, with the longest to occur on July 27, 2018.The total lunar eclipse begn at 00:52:30 IST and ended 02:32:42 IST. While the partial eclipse began at 23:52:56 IST and ended at 03:32:15 IST. The eclipse was visible completely in Africa and Central Asia.
The Chandra Graham will be taking place in India between 11:53 pm on June 15 to 03:32 am early morning on June 16, 2011. Total Lunar Eclipse – the moon is fully covered – is from 00:52 hrs to 02:33 hrs. The eclipse’s total phase lasts for 100 minutes.
This will be the darkest lunar eclipse in almost 100 years as the centres of the sun, the earth and the moon would nearly be on one straight line. The earlier darkest lunar eclipse was observed on August 6, 1971 and the next one would be 47 years from now on, on June 6, 2058.
