How to Configure our MAC address and IP Address in VISTA

The method is almost the same as Windows XP, but the path to access the setting page is different. Here is detailed instruction on configuring IP address and other network information in Window Vista.



1. Go to Start and right click on Network and then click Properties.
2. Network and Sharing Center window will appear, then click View Status or you can also click on as you want. Manage network connections. while View Status go direct on the Network Property. so click on View Status link.
3. if you direct click on the view status then show the next box box click on Properties 

button. and then double click on Internet Protocol version 4 TCP/IPv4.
4. Its the main window where you can set your IP address, subnet mask default gateway, DNS server as like windows XP.
5. And if you want to show your MAC address you can go here as show in the below image. click on the Details... instead of Properties and here you can see Physical Address thats your computer's MAC address.
